These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Carbon Unity platform available at carbonunity.earth ("the Platform"), operated by Carbon Unity Ltd, 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX.
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
Carbon Unity provides tools to help carbon project developers assess the eligibility of their projects against major carbon certification standards, and to generate indicative quantification forecasts of potential carbon credit volumes.
The Platform is provided for guidance and informational purposes only. Results generated by the Platform are indicative and do not constitute official certification assessment, carbon credit verification, financial advice, or investment advice of any kind. You should always consult a qualified carbon expert before making any decisions in reliance on results generated by the Platform.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. By using the Platform you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@carbonunity.earth if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep this information up to date.

All content, tools, designs, data, and software forming part of the Platform are the intellectual property of Carbon Unity Ltd or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Platform beyond the limited licence to use it for your own internal purposes in accordance with these Terms.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under applicable UK law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carbon Unity Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity.
Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts paid by you to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
The Platform relies on third-party services including Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (transactional email), and Google Analytics (anonymous usage analytics, subject to your consent). We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or conduct of these third-party providers.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or where required by law.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform following notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
